Transmission efficiency
Concept
Data transmission efficiency refers to the difference between the application layer data sent and the total data sent (that is, the application layer data plus various header and tail overheads). Ratio.
During the data transmission process, due to the need for addressing, error correction, etc., the corresponding head and tail are added to each layer, and the added head and tail are additional overhead. Each layer will have a certain amount of additional overhead.
Calculation formula
The transmission efficiency of this layer = the data transmitted from the upper layer / the data transmitted from this layer to the lower layer
Data transmission efficiency = the total data of the application layer Quantity/Total amount of data sent at the bottom layer.
