Thestorytakesplaceinthelate15thcentury,ThegloriousMayacivilizationisabouttofinishitsfinalcourse.Theyounghunter"Jaguar'sClaw"Jaquhar(RudyYoungbladplay)isoneofthebestwarriorsinasmalljunglevillage,guardinghisarms.Hiswifeandyoungbelovedsonleadaself-sufficientandpeacefullife.Suddenmisfortunecamefromthesky,andJaquar’stribewasattackedbyapowerfultribe.Overnight,therebellingtribesmenwereeitherkilledonthespotorplunderedasprisonersofwar.Beforebeingcaptured,JaquarhurriedlyThechildbirthwifeandbelovedchildhidinthecave.Afterwards,Jacquardandthecapturedtribesembarkedonalong,bitterjourneytothecapitaloftheMayanEmpire.Atthattime,theMayanempirewasdeclining.Undertheocraticsystem,theMayanroyalfamilyandpriestsattributedallkindsof"decayedelephants"todissatisfactionwiththegods.Inordertoshowtheirloyaltytothegods,theyblindlyenslavedthepeopletobuildmoretemples.Theybelievethatlivingsacrificesarethefoodofthegodstheybelievein,sotheyprayandsacrificemorefrequentlyandsolemnly,hopingtoturnthingsaroundwiththeirdivinepower.Chosenasasacrificetotheliving,Jaquhardidnotwanttoacceptthefateoftheothervictims,sohechosetofleedesperately.Inordertoreturntohishometownandreunitewithhiswifeandchildren,Jaquharhasfallenintoextremelydangeroussituationstimeandtimeagain,andhasgonethroughcountlesshardships...
