Inepisode4,theaudienceoncesawseveralscenesofanomalousintersectionslocatedinunknownplaces.Theentiregrasslandwasfullofanomalouspoints,atleastafewHundredsofabnormalpointsappearedatthesametime.Thisphenomenonislikeaterminalbuilding,connectingandallowingaccesstodifferentworlds.Thenatureofthisphenomenon,orhowitcanbeconnectedtodifferenttime-spacefaults,remainsunclear.HelenCutterestimatesthatthisphenomenonisveryclear,becauseshecancrossthis"intersection"withoutgettinglost.However,thecreatorofthisplay,AdrianHodges,saidthatthepurposeofanomalousintersectionsistocreatethemysteriousnessofanomalies.However,theabnormalpointsleadingfromHyundaitotheintersectionwereclosedshortlyaftertheyappeared,anditisstillunclearwhetherotherabnormalpointsthatexistedattheintersectionwereclosed.

Overlappingabnormalpoints

Whentwoabnormalpointsappearatthesametimeandatthesameplace,twoabnormalpointlockingdevicescanbeusedtolockthem.Ifitisnotlocked,satelliteanomalieswillstillappear.Theseanomaliesareextremelyunstable.Theyareclosednotlongafterbeingturnedon.Theyarepalewhiteinsteadofgoldenyellow.Sometimestherewillbemanysatelliteanomalies.However,aslongasthetwoanomalouspointlockingdevicesareusedtolockthetwooverlappinganomalies,theothersatelliteanomalieswillalsodisappear.(In30episodes)

PredictionandControl

HelenCutteronceadmittedthatshecouldknowthelocationofabnormalpointsinadvance,andimpliedthatshecouldcontroltheseabnormalpoints,andsheshowedTheevidencealsoconfirmedsomeofherclaims.Inthelatterpartofthefirstepisode,HelenwasfoundtohavegivenNickalivingspecimenofanammonite,indicatingthatshewasnottrappedinthePermianaseveryoneexpected.Sincethen,thedramahasgraduallyrevealedthattherearedifferentmethodstofindoutthelocationoftheanomalyandcontroltheanomaly.

Inepisode6,HelentriedtousetheteamtofindthefutureinthePermianandleadingtothedemiseofcivilization,confirmingthatshewasnotreallyabletopredictandControltotheabnormalpoint.InEpisode8,Helenalreadyhasaportableoutlierdetectiondevice.Inepisode7,NickCutterdiscoveredthatanabnormalpointcouldcauseelectromagneticinterferencetotheFM87.6channel,andinformedConnorofthisdiscovery.Therefore,theteaminepisode9alsosuccessfullymanufacturedadetectiondevice.Theteam’slarge-scaledetectiondevicecancovertheentireterritoryoftheUKandcandetecttheopeningofanewanomalyinjustafewseconds.Connoralsohasaportabledetectiondevicethatcandetectabnormalpointswithinashortdistance.

AnomalyPointModel

Inthefirstfewepisodesofthethirdseason,NickCutterwasinspiredbySarahPageandbelievedthattheso-calledmythicalmonstersinancientcivilizationsactuallytraveledthroughtimeandspace.Ancientcreatures.Therefore,hecooperatedwithSarahtoinvestigateancientdocumentstofindouttheyearinwhichabnormalpointsmayappear,andtocreateathree-dimensionaltimemodel,whichsuccessfullyestimatedtheappearanceofanabnormalpoint(anabnormalpointlocatedinahauntedhouse).However,althoughSarahwasinvolvedinmakingthemodel,onlyCutterunderstoodthemodel.Asaresult,afterhewasshotbyHelenandthemodelwasblownupwithARC,themodelwasrendereduselessandunabletoberecreated.

Artifacts

Anothermysteryofthethirdseasonisartifacts.Artifactsaretheproductsoffuturecivilization.Correctusecanprojectatimemodel,markingtheabnormalpointsinthepastorthefuture.TheartifactsconfirmthatCutter'stheoryiscorrectagain,thatis,theappearanceofabnormalpointshasacertainpattern.However,althougheveryoneintheteamgottheartifacts,theydidn'tknowhowtoopenit.SarahPageproposedusingalasertoturniton.Asaresult,theartifactwasturnedonforashorttimeatthebeginningofepisode19,buttheprojectionquicklydisappeared.Intheend,HelenusedthefutureARCcomputertosuccessfullyopentheartifactandrecordtheartifact'sroadmapintoherabnormalpointcontrollertogoto333toeliminatetheearliesthumansandpreventhumanevolution.

The14thepisodeshowsthatitispossibletotrapandmoveanomalouspointswithamagneticfield.Forexample,thesuncagewasmadebytheancientEgyptiansusingmagnetite.Trappedthemastheraysofthesun.

AbnormalPointLockingDevice

Inthesameset,itcanuseelectriccurrenttotemporarilyblocktheabnormalpointandpreventanyobjectsfrompassingthroughtheabnormalpoint.Therefore,Connorusedthisdiscoverytocreateadevicethatcanlocktheabnormalpointinepisode17,toreversethemagneticfieldoftheabnormalpointandachievetheeffectofblockingtheabnormalpoint.Tounblockthedevice,thedevicemustbeactivatedagain.Theblockedanomalywilldeformintoaluminoussphere.
