ThismodeistosimulateadevicewithNFCfunctionasacontactlesscard,suchasaccesscontrolcard,bankcard,etc.Thecardsimulationmodeismainlyusedinnon-contactmobilepaymentapplicationssuchasshoppingmallsandtransportation.Usersonlyneedtoputtheirmobilephoneclosetothecardreaderandenterapasswordtoconfirmthetransactionorreceivethetransactiondirectly.Inthisway,thecardispoweredbytheRFdomainofthecontactlesscardreader,eveniftheNFCdeviceisoutofpower.Inthisapplicationmode,theNFCreadingdevicecollectsdatafromanNFCmobilephonewithTAGcapability,andthentransmitsthedatatotheapplicationprocessingsystemforprocessing,asshowninFigure1.Typicalapplicationsbasedonthismodelincludelocalpayment,accesscontrol,electronicticketapplications,andsoon.

Afterandriod4.4,HCE(hostcardemulation)canbesupported,andthecardmodecanberealizedthroughthemobilephonesoftwaresimulationcard,insteadofonlycontrollingthecardmodebySEasbefore.

Cardreadertype

Itisusedasanon-contactcardreader,suchasreadingrelatedinformationfrompostersorexhibitioninformationelectronictags.Inthismode,anNFCmobilephonewithread-writefunctioncancollectdatafromtheTAG,andthenprocessitaccordingtotherequirementsoftheapplication.Someapplicationscanbecompleteddirectlylocally,whilesomeapplicationsneedtobecompletedthroughinteractionwiththenetwork.Typicalapplicationsbasedonthismodelincludeelectronicadvertisementreadingandticketsales,movietheaterticketsales,etc.Forexample,ifthereisaTAGtagonthebackofamovieposterorexhibitioninformation,userscanuseamobilephonethatsupportstheNFCprotocoltoobtaindetailedinformation,orimmediatelyuseacreditcardtobuyticketsonline.Thecardreadermodecanalsobeusedforsimpledataacquisitionapplications,suchastheacquisitionofinformationsuchasbusstationsiteinformationandparkmaps.
