Educational thought
Chen Zhijian’s main achievements include the discovery of the function of ubiquitin as a signal molecule, and the role of mitochondrial antiviral signal protein, the sensor molecule of virus infection, in the process of RNA virus infecting the host. In particular, from February to August 2013, four consecutive academic papers were published in the American "Science" journal, on how the body’s immune cells initially recognize pathogenic microorganisms or heterologous DNA in the body, which has long plagued the biomedical community for many years. The problem was systematically elucidated, and the endogenous second messenger cGAMP molecule and its synthetase that played a key role in it were discovered, which opened up a new research direction in the field of immunobiology, and provided a basis for the diagnosis of lupus erythematosus and AIDS, and the research and development of vaccines. New ideas also provide new ways for future clinical drug development to prevent and treat infectious diseases, cancer, and autoimmune diseases.
As of March 2015, Chen Zhijian has been the corresponding author in the world Top journals "Cell" (7 articles), "Nature" (2 articles), "Science" (4 articles), "Immunity" (2 articles) and "Molecular Cell" He has published a series of scientific research papers on Molecular Cell (8 articles), and his articles have been cited more than 23,000 times by scientists from various countries.
Talent training
Chen Zhijian emphasizes on scientific research Interest is very important. Only if there is interest, there will be motivation and perseverance. It also emphasizes the importance of the scientific research team.
