Canadian Via Railway
History
The Canadian Rio Railway is similar to the American iron of the neighbor, the foundation is to exempt the railway company's legal responsibility for passenger service services. In the 1970s, Canada's two largest railway companies, Canadian National Railway, referred to as CN, and Canadian Pacific Railway, referred to as CP, is seriously lost in railway passenger service, intended to abandon passenger service Focus on freight services with profitable space. After several years of preparation, January 21, 1977, officially split its passenger service department into a separate enterprise, called Vic Railway. On October 29 of the same year, Via Railway officially received passenger service of CP. Like American iron, Via Railway only has a very small number of rails that use only 2% of the total rail length.
